Annalise June Kamegawa is a Japanese-American writer and artist based in Milan, Italy. She has been published in numerous global magazines including designboom, Lampoon, and NR Magazine.
Since moving to Milan as a Fulbright Scholar in the creative arts, she has been an artist-in-residence at Fabrica Research Centre. Complimenting her writing, her artistic work looks to explore the cultural and emotional significance of consumer goods, viewing the pictorial framing of “things” and “spaces” as a modality in which to elucidate their semiotic and historical value.
She received her bachelors in cognitive science from the University of California, Berkeley (‘20) and her masters in product design at Politecnico di Milano (‘22).
